First Week of School

Started off with a really bad morning cause of grumpy me not having enough sleep,
cause of the submissions on Monday.

But oh wells, by around 10 plus, two submissions DOWN.



Loving our colourful appendices. :D
Was pretty worried when people had like appendices which can't even fit into the box for submission,
but oh wells~ Yesterday Ah Phong told us that you can't have a 20 page report with 80 pages of appendices, it just shows that you don't know how to organise your information.

But then again, when Govin went through some things for presentation on Wednesday, got me kinda worried that our report is insufficient, even though we kinda exceeded the page limit already.
Ah whatever, submitted already. What to do~


So anyway~ Then we went down to Sugarloaf for lunch after DPD tutorial,
which was painful not only for us but Mr Pras too, so he let us off early, by a lil bit. (:

I took forever to finish it. Haha. :x
The beef was yummm, but a lot of potato uh. :x
I don't quite like going to Sugarloaf to eat eh, cause usually will spend quite a bit. :/
This Beef Potpie costs $5, still okay I guess, it filled me~
But got quite mehhh after a while.

Then Ati and I were craving for ice-cream, but no moreee~
And so we went to bistro, just for dessert.



Not too bad, only $2.20 for two scoops, much cheaper than SL. heheheh.
French Vanilla and Strawberry flavoured.
I was asking them whats the difference between the normal Vanilla and French Vanilla.
Jerene was like, 'French Vanilla more high class'. Hahahaha.

I didn't finish though, no time. ):
Had to rush off for APEL~

Then.. Nothing much to mention for the rest of the week?
We spent Tuesday and Thursday afternoon for project~
Got my well-deserved rest on Tuesday night cause Wednesday started late. hehe. :D

Oh yes, Monday DPD's guest lecture was Mr Png.
Best lecturer ever. Oh how I wish every DPD lecture was him lecturing. :/



Ticketing was satisfactory.
Counselling was disappointing.
MICE, Ah Phong didn't give us back.
But she gave me a good news yesterday. Hehe.

Like, keep a record of all the places we've gone to mam mam.
And jot down our comments and feedback.

So anyway,
(okay, I'm supposed to be doing project or something, but just let me de-stress abit first)

We went to Kungfu Paradise at Bedok Point just last Saturday,
after spending HOURSS deciding where to eat.
That's the problem with us, really.
Never knowing where to eat.

Mmm, we went there for brunch.
At about.. 1/2pm.

Romey suggested trying out since we both haven't tried, and the menu just looks.. YUMMM.
Prolly cause we're hungry la. :x

But.. LOOK AT THIS.

That's the picture I saw on their menu I think.
I was like, okayokay, let's go in.
PLEASEEE order this later. :x

So, First impression. :D

But.. no one at the counter to host us.
I counted.. 8 secs very slowly, just to get the attention of the staff.
But it's okay, he offered us the comfy seats. (:

I mean, I think generally getting attention at this kinda place is kinda.. the same. :x

Considering 1/2pm is like the lunch period,
it's actually not very crowded at that restaurant.
Like, there wasn't even the lunch crowd.
It was kinda.. okay, maybe only 50% occupancy?
Don't know about the turnover la.
But the business looks pretty slow?

Umm, so after being sat, he gave us the menu, and then walked away.
Oh, he gave us the order chit too, with a pencil.
Don't really like this kinda thing.
Like, I pay service charge, so take my order. ._.
But oh wells~ It seems like the norm these days.

So anyway, the menu was good.
Like, the pictures and all.. Looked super yummy.
But then.. the pictures weren't numbered, like, to specify which dish was it and all.
Romey thought it would be better if they did.
I mean, yeah, some are self-explanatory, but some just.. Can't really tell you know.
Especially the drinks.

So we ordered the
Steamed Lava Custard Buns,
some sausage noodles,
TomYam seafood soup with rice!
And then a tropical smoothie.

Was super hungry.
So I asked the guy how long would it take,
he answered, 'I'll tell them to do it ASAP'.
Sorry, but I would think that is a horrible answer.
I asked how long, at least give me a time to estimate.


Eek. Kinda annoyed actually.
Hungry girl is angry girl what. :x

But then.. mm, we waited.. 8 mins?
The Custard Buns came.
Omg. It was damn good!
It came in threes.

Smooth, soft bun,
with the hot salted egg filling inside...
YUMM.
But we were quite clumsy la,
ate till kinda messy when the sauce kept flowing out. :x
I think it's $3.90++, totally worth trying.


After the buns came, the other dishes came so quickly,
like.. ._.
Okay, sorry about being picky.
But, please, anticipate your customer's needs?
If I'm enjoying my bun, then wait a lil then serve la.

But here's the other two dishes

The placement of the dish, not very awesome uh.
Like, the main thing was supposedly the sausage, but it was like, only one piece tucked at the corner?
It was $6.90++
It looked super appetizing, like I wanted to steal his and eat soooo many times.
Maybe cause it looks like Mee Goreng instant noodles. haha. :x

Okay, truth is, I loved the egg cause of the runny yolk. YUMZ.
The sausage was.. Meh. I didn't really like it cause it was kinda too soft inside.
Like, too mashed, not like how I expected it to be at least.
The noodles.. wasn't very tasty, like it didn't really have much taste, prolly didn't soak/cook in the sauce long enough. I'd have done a better job at Mee Goreng.
Trust me, if I can better at it, then it can't be that good. :x

This is the Tom Yam Seafood Soup with rice.
Doesn't look very appetising huh?
It kinda.. made me disappointed.

I'm actually very worried when I order food like this, cause I'm afraid the rice wouldn't taste good.
Like, I'd think when I eat things like that, my rice has to be just nice,
not too cooked or too wet cause not cooked enough?
Okay, I think you get the drift. :x

Mm, the rice was.. Okay la, can't really remember actually,
but I didn't complain, so can't be that bad.
The main thing.. The seafood soup,
umm, a lil bit too flavourful, says Romey.
Would be better if there was a lil bit more water added to it.
But I thought it was fine, prolly cause of my blocked nose. :x
There were.. prawns, mushrooms, sotong, fish, tomato slices, yeah.
Two of each actually, cause I remember sharing with Romey.

It costed us $9.90++ if I didn't remember wrongly. Yep.

Mm, I don't know what kind of service do they adopt,
But it's either that or their staff is too free,
or out to chase us out,
they keep clearing our plates once we finish.
Not like the table was very small..

Okay, generally.. Service on the whole, just wasn't too good la.
Total bill amounted to around $32plus, after service charge and GST.
With the drink la, which we ordered one to share,
I think it was $5.90. I didn't really like it, but Romey said it's not bad.

To each his own~


After which we took a bus down to City Plaza to shop.
I was just feeling pretty unwell, so it took quite long before we finally found the dress.
Oh, cause Romey wanted to buy me a dress to wear to his Commissioning Ball. (:

I think we bargained a lil.
She gave us a lil discount I think. $36?
Sorry, Romey paid and I was kinda.. sick.
Didn't pay much attention. :/



Then we went down to East Coast Park.
Wheeeeee. :D

Just sat at the breakwater and enjoy the breeze and chatted awayyy~
Before we went to the hawker centre and have our dinner! :D

It was super sinful considering I was a sick girl. :x
But 以毒攻毒. heh.

Can't comment much about the Kang Kong and Stingray,
cause.. Too spicy. So the omelette was like the.. 'neutraliser'. :x


Afterwhich.. We went back to gramp's place for dumplings since it was the festival~!

And finally home where I fell really sick,
and Romey tried to stay till I fall asleep. ♥
